It’s only appropriate that the city of Twinsburg would host the world’s largest gathering of twins. The city is actually named after its founders, the Wilcox Brothers, who were identical twins. The Cleveland suburb estimates that approximately 2,500 sets of twins attend their annual Twins Days Festival. The 3 day festival includes a golf outing, a talent show, the “double take” parade, and twin contests such as best theme outfits, furthest traveled to event, and most alike twins.
Twins Days began in 1976 with just 37 sets of twins and has grown steadily ever since. The celebration of identical and fraternal siblings is open to everybody however there are “twins-only” events. Twinsburg boasts that their event is “double the fun” of any other festival.
