University of Dayton’s Super Bowl Coaches

“Football” isn’t always the first word that comes to mind when the University of Dayton is mentioned. That didn’t stop Dayton graduates and Super Bowl champion coaches Chuck Noll or Jon Gruden from excelling in the sport. Chuck Noll, coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, captured 4 Super Bowl titles (IX, X, XIII, XIV). Whereas, Gruden, coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl XXXVII. University of Dayton alumni, Noll and Gruden combined for coaching five Super Bowl titles, more than any other university. They are also only the fifth school to have a pair of coaches win football’s most coveted trophy.
